So You Think You Are A god?
The reason the world is in trouble starts with wrong ideas and definitions about who God is. The idea that a man (or an angel) can be God is as old as the universe. It is not a new idea. Some people, even today, think that they are a god.
Answer the following questions to see if you are a god.
- Can you make an infinite empty space?
- Can make something out of nothing?
- Can you make life?
- Can you make a living being with a free will?
- Can you perform miracles? For example: walk on water, feed thousands with a few loaves of bread, heal the lame, deaf, blind, raise the dead?
- Do you know everything?
- Do you understand everything?
- Do you know or can you predict the future?
- Do you have an existence whose beginnings go into eternity past?
If you answered no to any of those questions then you are not a god. Actually, if you think you are a god then you are a fool.
Romans 1:22 (KJV) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:23 (KJV) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
The First False Doctrine: Ye Shall Be As gods
Man was made in the image of God.
Genesis 1:27 (KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 9:6 (KJV) Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
However, man is not a god and never will be a god. That is the first false doctrine that Satan taught when he deceived Eve into eating the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 3:1 (KJV) ¶ Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Genesis 3:2 (KJV) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Genesis 3:3 (KJV) But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Genesis 3:4 (KJV) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Genesis 3:5 (KJV) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
The First False Definition Of God
Satan’s definition of “god” is having the knowledge of evil. What a horrible definition of God. Satan actually defined himself with that definition. It wasn’t God’s definition of God.
Genesis 3:5 (KJV) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Satan knew what evil was and he certainly was not God or even a god. In fact, it was Satan’s desire to be worshiped as God that got him thrown out of heaven.
Luke 10:18 (KJV) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
If You Think You Are A god You Are In BIG Trouble!
God not only threw Satan out of heaven for claiming to be God he also punished other human beings for making that claim.
Said By The Prince Of Tyrus: I Am A God
Ezekiel 28:2 (KJV) Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Ezekiel 28:3 (KJV) Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
Ezekiel 28:4 (KJV) With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
Ezekiel 28:5 (KJV) By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
Ezekiel 28:6 (KJV) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
Ezekiel 28:7 (KJV) Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
Ezekiel 28:8 (KJV) They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
Said Of Herod: It Is The Voice Of A god
Acts 12:20 (KJV) ¶ And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.
Acts 12:21 (KJV) And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
Acts 12:22 (KJV) And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
Acts 12:23 (KJV) And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
Acts 12:24 (KJV) But the word of God grew and multiplied.
Why Should You Believe Satan?
No good ever comes out of following Satan. Everybody that believes Satan and does what he wants them to do ends up regretting it.
Genesis 3:6 (KJV) ¶ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Genesis 3:7 (KJV) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Genesis 3:8 (KJV) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Here was this total stranger that Eve has no information on at all and he is telling her to not trust God who she knew and had never had any reason to doubt. She took Satan’s word without any proof. There are a few questions that Eve could have asked Satan before she ate of the forbidden fruit:
- How do you know that we won’t die, what proof do you have?
- Did you eat of the tree yourself?
- Will you eat one of the fruit in front of me so I can see for sure that you won’t die?
- Why do you think that knowing evil will make us like a god?
- How is knowing evil going to make my life better?
- Will you be willing to discuss this with God and Adam in my presence?
Jesus, The True God
Isaiah 45:22 (KJV) Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:23 (KJV) I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Philippians 2:10 (KJV) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Philippians 2:11 (KJV) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1 John 5:20 (KJV) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Titus 2:13 (KJV) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
If you are in a religion that teaches that you are a god or will be a god you are in a religion that was created by Satan, not God. Trusting Satan will get you thrown into hell but trusting in Jesus Christ will grant you entrance into heaven. You should trust in Jesus, not Satan.
Romans 10:9 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
